The Institute encourages and conducts ground-breaking research and strategic collaborations in areas related to the creation of new knowledge in biotechnology, biomedical, and environmental sciences articulating resources from multiple disciplines and Schools. The Institute participates in improving the capabilities for education and training relevant to the development of those disciplines within UT and the country. The Institute is a partner for the rapidly growing life sciences industry.
